Where a cat's paw cannot go, a Sawsall blade can. You know how Sawsall blades are described as "bimetallic"? Well, this is what it gets you; the tough, low strength back of the blade allows you to abuse it while the hard, sharp teeth allow you to cut through nails.
Once I cut out enough boards that I could get the Sawsall on the cutting plane, I could switch back to a regular metal cutting blade from this beast.
